We talked with children about the surroundings of the kindergarten, how they travel to the kindergarten every day, what safety is and why it is necessary to follow the rules. 

This week we have been focusing on the four seasons. The activities focused on learning about the features of each season, human activity, and the variety of weather. Together with the children we planted flower bulbs, which we will observe in spring.

The autumn season has already begun for us and so we have embarked on autumn activities. We made kites with the children, identified typical signs of autumn and talked about the changes in nature.

Chestnut picking in the autumn season is one of the most popular activities for children. This year we also went to the park with the children for chestnut picking. 

What is polite and what is not, what is proper and what is not. Today Micka and Duncik presented cheerful performance with catchy songs. 

We talked with the children about the fruits we can find in our orchard, what are the exotic fruits and what  we like the most. Of course there was also a tasting of the best ones :)

Vegetable week taught children to recognise different types of vegetables, where they grow, how they taste and how people process vegetables. We also made pumpkins with the children. 

We had a conversation with the children about the forest. We learned to recognize evergreen trees and deciduous  trees, named animals living in the forest. We made hedgehogs from leaves, or forest  bouquet of branches and berries.

Today we welcomed Mrs. Margaret from the Daphne Institute of applied ecology. She introduced the children to the secrets of the forest, forest animals and birds. We talked about nature conservation and its importance for humans. The children got to know the treasures of the forest by the touch and by smell the plants and fruits.

Halloween party full of dancing and beautiful masks. There was also a snack from our parents and the kids making funny monsters.

This week we explored what our senses can do. We identified the objects in the bag by touch, we recognized the sounds of animals from the recording by hearing, we tasted different ingredients with our tongues, smell fragrances and in order to see everything nicely, we made binoculars.
