Through autumn, juicy fruits and vegetables are ripen, which are very important for our health. The children learned about fruit, where it comes from, and tasted vegetable salad. They also made pumpkin fireflies and scarecrows.

Mrs. Ing. arch. Ciglánová introduced the children how grape juice is made with the help of experiential pedagogy. The children had the opportunity to try out the tools and implements that are needed in the work and production of grape juice. However, what they enjoyed most was tasting their own juice made right in their kindergarten.

Coniferous or deciduous tree? We asked the children how often they go to the forest and what kind of trees they can see during  their wanderings through the forest. We also talked about animals.We also created a forest in the classroom. The Sunnies made a clematis owl and the Tigers and Lions made 3D forest animals.

Nothing delights children more than a children's costume party. This year the children dressed up, put on interesting masks, danced, ate treats and made a beautiful Halloween cat.

The theatre performance, entitled Our Friend Autumn, brought the children closer to the magic of autumn. In a fun and interactive way, it drew the children into the action and did not leave them sitting on their chairs. The children learned songs, danced with Micka. Autumn also brings colder weather and colds. They talked to the children about the principles that are important to follow when it comes to colds, so that the children can be healthy as soon as possible and can go back to kindergarten to see their friends again.

We talked about the human body with the children. We named and modeled body parts from play dough, made a face from stones and colored the bones of the skeleton

We often talk to the children about what is safe for us and what could harm us, how to be helpful to others and how to behave like a good pedestrian or cyclist during a walk. Children already know what a reflective vest is for and that we can only enter a pedestrian crossing if the traffic light is green. We practiced all this and more together.

Autumn is a beautiful season that brings the most popular activity - chestnuts picking. We have also been picking chestnuts in a nearby park to play with them.

This week the children were investigating how our bodies work. We built a giant skeleton, placed the most important organs of the human body, debated about their importance. In an experiment with our senses, we explored tastes, matched different smells, listened sounds, tested our eyesight and practiced our sense of touch by a tactile book. 

Our little Eva is sick. The children talked about how they could help her. We prepared herbal teas, showed how to wash hands properly, took her to the doctor. We also talked about first aid and how to treat injuries.

Today we visited Bibiana, the international house of art for children, exhibitions Tresky Plesky and Animanimals.

This week, we talked with the children about their teeth. We banished tooth decay from our mouths. We determined what is healthy for our teeth and what can harm them. The children made beautiful toothbrushes.
